So why does yahoo messenger and google talk work with out BES/MDS capabilities, but for BerryVine ect need mds?

Are they secretly telling us that we all have MDS capabilities, but we don't know how to turn it on for every app?


Not sure if this questions been asked before but if anyone has any insight into this, please let me know.

Has I understand it, Google Talk and YM for BB are designed to use the BB APN settings and the BB network, while some others are designed to use other APN settings and the carrier Data Network. May be wrong here though. Somone will correct me if I am.
