Default Blackberry Messenger Only alert when inactive

Please Login to Remove!

I apologize if this has already been answered, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere.

I want to have my blackberry vibrate whenever a new message is received in Blackberry Messenger, but not while I'm in the conversation screen. I.e. if I in the middle of a conversation, I don't need to be "notified" of a new message. Is it possible to have the new messenger message alert only occur when the conversation screen is in the background?

Thanks!
