Well, that's interesting. Does the 8700c become the 8700a? And after they spent all that money changing AT&T store logos to Cingular...

HAHAHAH good point oester, probably down the line will change it to the "a" as if it matters anyways.

AT&T, Cingular, SBC, Bellsouth, dang, they're like women, can't make up their mind on a decision, back and forth, back and forth! sheeesh! Make up your mind already! I think it's probably a dumb move because the cingular brand has been established!

OH well, as if they care however, it is the customer-subscribers money they are using, so im not surprised this is finally going to happen!

I think the idea of having unity among services with one name is awesome, make one big bill for the whole month, all services are associated to some extent... At the same time I just hope they all don't break up again, or sell of certain areas because they aren't making as much profit as they want. Example... I had AT&T for my high speed cable service, phone, tv etc... then they went and SOLD high speed cable and cable into something and then into comcast it became. sorry i'm ranting at this point

Rebranding . . . it makes sense right? I started my cell phone w/at&t and have remained loyal ever since, through Cingular Blue, Orange, and now back to at&t in 2007!
