I used javaloader WIPE to wipe all and any data on my device, I have a VZ 7130E. I then loaded ALLTELS new 7130 Software. MY question is, if I used JAVALOADER and did a wipe, how come certain verizon things are still there? The opening image, I think will always be there, but the verizon theme is still there, is that not part of the OS loaded from verizon? SO my question is, why does JAVALOADER not wipe ALL as it is said to do?

You can not remove the splash screen as you already guessed. As far as the themes go, the vendor.xml file contains information used during the install to identify the BlackBerry model and carrier. If you delete the vendor.xml file you will see all the vendor specific themes instead of just Verizon.

In a nutshell... JavaLoader did delete everything. The Verizon theme was simply reinstalled when you reloaded the OS because the vendor.xml file identified your BlackBerry as a Verizon device.

Javaloader will not remove an IT Policy. But it does remove everything else.

Thanks for the reply...So in other words..there is NO Verizon branded Code on my blackberry now? other than the theme...

Once you run Javaloader -usb wipe there is no code or applications on it at all. The Verizon splash screen at power up can not be removed or changed. There are no themes on the BB after Javaloader successfully runs.

Here is a thought, is there some way to change the device ID? I realize that none has been discovered yet but, I would imagine that there must be a way.

You can hack the vendor.xml file, or just delete it. If it is deleted, all the vendor specific themes are installed on your BlackBerry.
