Default OS: Cannot add multiple mobile numbers

Please Login to Remove!

I've noticed that you cannot add multiple mobile telephone numbers to a contact. I therefore store multiple mobiles in Other, but I feel this feature should be available.

I understand the logic behind it...but there are many cases when someone may carry two mobile phones. I have two, now that I got my BB.

yes, i really do want to have such a feature. it drove me nuts the 1st time i migrated to the BB from the SidekickII.

most of my freinds have sidekicks, and they dont usually use it as their main cell phone; so i am left with two different mobile numbers to call...
hopefully, somwhere down the line an update is available..

Yes, that's what I do, but that's not correct. They're both mobile numbers. I hope there will be an update in future.

This has bugged me a bit, too, mainly since I started using smartphones. All of my Windows Mobile devices only could have one mobile number per name which made little sense to me since I'm not the only person who knows people with multiple mobile numbers. But then again, Outlook natively can only have one mobile number and I am betting it has to do with Microsoft Exchange only allowing one mobile number per name, and since Outlook is an Exchange client, it carries the same limits. Considering that it seems that BlackBerry Enterprise Server is most at home with Exchange servers, and of course the vast majority of BlackBerries in use go through a BES, it does make sense that if Exchange only allows for one mobile number per name, then the BlackBerry should carry over that limit, even if that limit doesn't make much sense nowadays.
