Question Address Book During Phone Call

Please Login to Remove!

How do you pull up the address book during a phone call? I want to get someone else phone number while on a call but don't know how to do it. Can you do it? I used the serach on this site but found nothing. I have a BB 7290.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You push the escape button to get out of the phone application. There will be a confirmation that comes up asking if you want to exit to the home screen you do. Then go to address book by either pressing A or by track wheel. The phone call will be connected the entire time. Go back to phone application by pressing P or by track wheel.

Alt-esc is the task switcher. Go to my tips site and get my tips doc for the 72XX series. You will find all sorts of shortcuts.

I click the thumb wheel during a call and there's an option for Home Screen and then go to the address book on the 8700g, is it the same for the 7290?

They have different OS versions so I'm not sure if it does or not. I never had a 7290 only the 8700.

Alt+ESC to go to task switcher (from there you can get to the home screen and get into anything you need).

I have the 7250 and my IT guy just had me update to the 4.1 os and I just push the track wheel and it gives me options to do all kinds of things and still keep the call going very nice I'm glad I came across this thread, thanks all. later.
