Hi Everybody - I'm very new with my Blackberry, and I'm learning all the time! I currently have a problem which may be very simple but I can't find my way out of it. I don't wish to link my Blackberry up with my email account, but through my old mobile I used to have texts diverted to my Yahoo email address, and I wish to change the chosen mobile to my Blackberry. Through the Handypay section on Yahoo I have to register my new number by texting a message and they send me a code. But when I text the number (86200) the message bounces straight to my Blackberry with no code. I know when I tried it the first time a message came up on the Berry asking for my number and I typed it in - I can't remember the exact messag but I presume when I dial 86200 it is redirecting the SMS straight back to me - how can I get out of this? Can anyone help, or am I just being a complete moron?? Thanks, Alyn

Are you sure you're texting the right number for your carrier? I'd doublecheck that and that your carrier is supported.

strobate - thanks for your reply. The number is definitely right and Vodaphone is supported by HandyPay. The more I think about it the more I wished I'd hesitated when the window flagged up on the BBerry asking for my number. Might sound a bit drastic, but how do I reset my 6720? I've only had it a few days so don't mind losing any info I've put in, and presumably this would mean any re-direction put in will be wiped? Alyn

Hmm. It just doesn't sound like a BlackBerry-specific issue if you can sms other numbers OK.

It is a puzzle. No luck with Vodaphone on the subject, no reply yet from Yahoo. If I should decide to reset the Blackberry now, or for future reference - how do I do this?
