Unhappy BES 4.0 - moving SQL database to different server

Please Login to Remove!

I wonder if anyone can help.

I have this scenario:

A single BES 4.0 server (SERVERA) connecting to a Microsoft SQL server (SQLSERVER1). This is working fine.

I would like a Disaster Recovery solution whereby we can failover the BESMgmt MS SQL database from SQLSERVER1 to a completely separate SQLSERVER2

SQLSERVER2 has an exact replica of the BESMgnt MS SQL database on SQLSERVER1

What procedure should we use to re-point the BES server SERVERA to use the BESMgnt SQL database on SQLSERVER2?

When we try to repoint the BES server to the SQL database on SQLSERVER2 it is failing with a "Failed to upgrade DB" error message.

Any ideas?????

Default

You need to go into Server Config for BlackBerry and change the database this will ask you for the servers name which you'll need to change. Once you've done this you need to go into BlackBerry Manager and change the database name on the server properties in there as well.
