Default using google talk as msn messenger on your bb?

Please Login to Remove!

ok i read this thread:

Multi-IM Network Instructions [Using Google Talk]

on step 3...it stated: Unzip the following archive to the Miranda directory under Program Files.

so i unzip those files: it was 3 files, all are dll files. so my question is do i put those dll files on C:\Program Files\Miranda IM folder. Or C:\Program Files\Miranda IM\Plugins or C:\Program Files\Miranda IM\Icons.

for the love of God, anyone who gotten msn messenger to work on google talk on your blackberry? if so can you provide instructions, preferable steps-by-steps? i want to make this work on my blackberry 7100g very badly. thx in advance.

Remember, you can use ANY server..the poster of that article just happened to use ursine.ca. I wonder how much of a load ursine took after that article simply because people didn't read carefully enough or misunderstood.

I am following this info, but it still tells me that I must be connected to the server to search for the services directory. My user name and password is not working to get me on to the server. Am I missing something?

I am trying to use PSI. Here are the steps that I have taken...

I finish these steps and I can not connect to server. I change the status from offline to online and it says that I can not connect ( details connection error: cannot connect to server)

Click 'Add' in the 'Psi: Jabber Accounts' window.

[edit]Adding the Google Talk account
Enter a name for your account in the 'Name:' field (we suggest 'Google Talk'). Also, make sure that the box next to 'Register new account' is not checked.
Click 'Add.'

[edit]Account Properties
[edit]Account
The account properties dialog will show up.

Enter your full Gmail email address in the 'Jabber ID:' field (including '@gmail.com').
We also recommend checking:

Automatically connect on startup
Automatically reconnect if disconnected

[edit]Connection
Open the 'Connection' tab.

Check 'Use SSL encryption (to server). The 'Port' field will automatically change to 5223 - it's ok. **
Check 'Ignore SSL warnings' (what's this)
Check 'Allow Plaintext Login' - this is no need to worry. The SSL layer will protect your entire connection, including the password so nobody will be able to capture it on its way to the server
Check 'Send "Keep-alive" packets (for NAT timeouts)'
Check 'Manually Specify Server Host/Port:'
Enter 'talk.google.com' in the 'Host:' field and leave the 'Port:' field to '5223'
Click 'Save.'

** Linux users must ensure that they have the QCA-TLS package installed first. SSL encription will not work otherwise and you will not be able to connect to your Google Talk account.

I have a question on how to enter the username for MSN transport in psi. My MSN username is not like regular username@hotmail or username@msn. Mine is [email address] as my MSN messenger login. Can this be done?

Thanks!
