Default Digital signature error when loading apps - 05-24-2006, 12:05 PM

I've tried to load a couple of apps and games on my BB 7750 but I get the error message:

"Warnings were encountered during the loading process:

The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid.

MFI_RV_7700_V1_2_0.cod"

This happens with apps or games from mobileplay and click gamer. Is there a setting on my BB where I can tell it to ignore the invalid signatures?

Deuce

Is your BlackBerry connected to a BES server? Do they have an IT policy assigned that restricts the install of thrd party software. I get the same error as you when I try to install software to my handheld. For me, it is caused by the IT policy.

I'm a BB newbie. What's a BES sever? I just installed the apps from my computer using the BB desktop manager.

No, I'm not on a BES server.

Check your BlackBerry for an IT policy. Go to Options > Security. Is there an IT Policy name listed?

Yup, you have an IT policy applied to your BlackBerry. If your not connected to a BES server now, then your BlackBerry was connected at one point in time. You have two options:
  1. Do nothing, but you will not be able to install anything to you BlackBerry.
  2. Remove the IT policy, which requires reinstalling the handheld software (search the forum for the instructions).

Doug, I did a complete wipe using JL_Cmder and then reinstalled the OS and it still says IT Policy: Default and I can't load any apps.
