I just phoned up the Lost and Stolen department where you report a lost phone and they checked thei IMEI for me. Guess what? It's in their database! Anyways, the customer advisor told me to call back tomorrow on the customer services number (it's closed right now) and ask for the IMEI to be removed from the database!
. Too good to be true? I would think that it's more difficult than that given the fact that someone reported it lost or stolen, so I could as well be the one who found it! Anyways, if you have any similar experiences please post and see what my rights are, I need to convince them tomorrow to unlock it for me!
