Default Looking for Sports Content

This question is for the sports geeks like me.

What are some of your favorite sites for obtaining real time scores/updates/news/video using the Blackberry?

I like the features offered by the ESPN phone but the service price is ridiculous.

I did try the trial version of Pocket Day sports, but I'd like to stay away from subscriptions. After all, I am paying for the BB service on a monthly basis.

Just looking for some feedback.

Berry 411 is pretty good, especially for MLB. There are "plugins" for most major sports (like "mlb:", "nba:", etc.). It's definitely a pull solution and not a push, but it's pretty nice.

Here's the OTA download:

You could also try one of the BlackBerry RSS readers.

MLB's mobile website is awesome... just go to http://mlb.com on your BlackBerry Browser and you'll get there.

If you want up-to-date NHL scores, I wrote a little script that scrapes tsn.ca and posts the scores in a format that is more BlackBerry-friendly. Check out http://www.greglang.ca/bbss/.

bp,

that link is no good.

ESPN mobile is only available if you get there phone and service right? There isnt anything better than their play by play, pitch by pitch gamecast for following games. Specially if youre into fantasy or gambling. But who would want one of those phones?

mlb.com is ok. Not to great for fantasy geeks. Last football season used the espn wap and it was ok, but it isnt realtime/push.

What would an RSS feed offer?
