Question Just ordered by 8700c - need advice

Please Login to Remove!

I just ordered my 8700c. I currently have a razr with text messaging and unlimited media-net. I purchased the razr with a 2 year contract. I have purchased the 8700c from an individual. I have one question and then would like to ask for some advice.

1. I know I can use my SIM card in the 8700c but will the phone work out of the box? Or do I have to change my account for the phone functionality to work?

2. what is the best way to approach Cingular about changing my account? I am going to deploy the BES - Express server on my network.

Thanks in advance for you time.

Doug

If you are going to deploy BES with MDS then you just need to add the BB plan to your account and you should be set. You may or may not need to wait on your BES to become active before 3rd party apps work.

I was planning on deploying BES but why would I deploy MDS if I don't have any apps I wish to open up to BES? Or do I not understand MDS?

Thanks,

Doug
