Default Infrared Berry advice

Please Login to Remove!

I am sorry if this information has been discussed already, but I wasn't able to find the answers I was looking for.

I currently use a 7100i with Nextel, but now for work I need a device with an infrared data transfer. I have purchased the additional device offered, but I am really unhappy with it and am thinking now that I may want to switch from a Blackberry so that I am down to one device. On the whole, I am happy with the blackberry except for this one issue. Has anyone heard of a possible berry for Nextel with infrared capabilities? Why don't they have one yet?

The alternative I am looking at is a Motorola Q with Verizon. I know I will miss my DC, but what else will take some getting used to? I have been a blackberry user for 3 years now, started out with a 7520, and this is the only PDA I have used. I am fairly computer savy, so I think I will be able to use the Q without too much trouble, but what will I miss from the berry? Besides the Push email. Any advice?

Unfortunately I need to make this decision very quickly as I can only return the other device that I purchased for a full refund until tomorrow. The refund will be more than enough to buy the Q, but I will have to get out of my contract with Nextel. I think after I sell my 7100i, I will come out about even on costs, but I think I can get a better rate plan with Verizon.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No BlackBerrys have IR capability and I feel it's unlikely they ever will.
