Is there any step by step instructions on how to replace the case? I know there are latches on top of the screws.

I am afraid to take of too many screws, pry at the wrong point to damage any internal components, or pull apart the case before having to disconnect anything like wires.

Also, if any instructions on putting back together like pressure points, button placement, which latch to snap in place first, etc. Any other clues, tip, hints on do's and don't.

What model BlackBerry are you refering to? There are a few picture guides posted for some of the models. Search the forum and you might find the one your looking for.

I have a TMO 7290. It works perfectly but the case is pretty scatched up. I may be able to get my hands on a broken (electronically) Cingular 7290 and take the case to put it on mine.

I searched the forum but came up with all sorts of 'cases' but they all talked about carrying case, not the shell of the unit.

You may try a search for "housing" instead of "case". That will yield some threads with more of what you're looking for.

uhh, well, why not just try. =) be careful though. I've posted about this, i want to trade a blue 7290 case for the black equivelent. i'm sick and tired of all these damn blue blackberries from Rogers!
