Default Quick question about BB7510 and synchronizing Contacts (using a BES)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone. I am currently running BES v4.0.3.7. I have one user who doesn't want to give up his old BB 7510 model running the v4.0.2 software. He recently discovered that when he updates his Contacts in outlook, none of the changes are updating in his Blackberry. On his Blackberry, if I goto CONTACTS--->OPTIONS, I don't have the option for wireless syschronization. Any thoughts? Is there a new version of the software that enables this option? Thanks in advance.

Handheld OS version 4.02 should have wireless sync as an otpion. He may have overwritten the service books with an older version of Desktop Manager. I'd suggesting resending his service books from the BES. OR...turn off the wire, delete the Desktop [sync] service book, turn on the wire, and then undelete. I've done this a few times and it hasn't failed me yet.

Could you be a little more specific? When you see "turn of the wire" what do you mean? Are you saying, use the devices "turn wireless off" option? then go into Options/Advanced Options/Service book, the delete, then turn wireless back on?

My contacts have stopped syncing to the BES, but everything else does. I've tried other solutions posted to no avail.
