Default Password For Email only

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,

New to this site and also new to the blackberry. I am trying to find out if it is possible to password protect email only, and not the phone functions etc on BES. I remember reading a post on here that says it is possible but didnt go into further detail. If anyone has an information that would be great, I have to go to battle with IT tomorrow.

Thanks so much,
Dan

You can unlock the phone app from the password via IT Policy if you are on a BES. The rest of the device is still locked. The key words are "Allow outgoing calls while locked". Enabling it on the IT Policy only gives the user the option to turn it on. It does not turn it on for you.
