Heres a question...

Situation: I have hosted exchange email..have a computer on at home running redirector. Problem is, my computer turned off all of a sudden and im not home to turn it on...

Is there a way i can relay the service to another computer.???

any suggestions?

Just want to clear something up.. he said he is NOT at home.. so unless he has pcAnywhere.. that won't be happening withthe bios thing.
But it's a good suggestion for in the future to prevent such things from happening.

maybe some kind of relay...one stop working..the other picks up on it..or a backup plan basically...

maybe its not the computer..maybe its just the software...i dont know....but i will look into that bios thing....

In your BIOS you would want to change it so it comes back up automatically each time the power gets interrupted.
But keep in mind, that PC's don't do well with being 'short circuited'.

but thats the thing..what if it is not interrupted...what if the computer crashed....

Starting up another redirector on another computer and pointing it to the same mailbox will do the trick.

Redirector is just monitoring your mailbox and sending emails through it. So it really doesn't matter what computer the redirector is running on.

if the computer crashes, you can call up a friend and have them turn on redirector that's preconfigured for you if you planned it out properly.

how but running two redirectors in two different accounts pointing the same account...will it double up my emails?
