Default gprs, data connection refused

Please Login to Remove!

Both this afternoon and this evening, my device went to gprs (lower case, not GPRS), and display "data connection refused". I was in North NJ both times.

Anyone else having problems?

It might be helpful to know who your provider is.............

I'm having the same trouble...

My Provider: Cingular Wireless
My Location: Austin, TX
Time started: around 6pm CST

Cingular Wireless online chat says there is a multi-statewide outage affecting BB users..

UPDATE: As I was typing this, email came back online as well as Google Talk... WWW is working as well...

Default GPRS up

Just as I was reading GardnerMS, my GPRS also came online. But I don't see any BES or gmail messages coming over. Also, no internet connectivity

Default Cingular outage - 16 states

Here's the story from Cingular:

It appears that Cingular is experiencing issues with their data service (all data devices) in 16 states (I'm in CA). The issue as I was told is due to a network fault somewhere in the infrastructure (guessing a router/switch/data concentrator/so forth went out). Phone service is not effected in any way.

No ETA was given.

17:15 PST 06/06/2006 - data service to my BB just came back online

Default BES Working?

Paulbblc. The more curious thing that the blackberry is what is a Red Sox fan doing in Minnesota. You understand that once you leave New England you'll allowed to dump the Sox

If it doesnt come back remove the battery and sim card and it should come back if Cingular got their end fixed.

Haha never lived in New England. Always been from MN just so happened that when I was 2 my dad took me and my brother to a Twins / BoSox game and I picked the Sox Teddy Bear at the gift stand over the Twins Teddy Bear. Lol still have that bear too and ever since I've been one of gods most pathetic creatures...

My brother however is a Yankee fan. There's just no way of getting him to come back from the dark side either.

p.s. Sorry to take the thread off subject but the Yankee fan started it

My BB was working, but now it's giving me a DATA CONNECTION REFUSED error message again.

I am in Austin, Texas using Cingular Wireless.

First, yes I had the same problem around 9pm EST. My wife and I both have 8700c's and both were on edge instead of EDGE and had the message Data Connection Refused. It came back around 9:30.

Second, the battery/reboot is a pretty standard fix for some problems, but I've been noticing my BB dropping out of EDGE irregularly, and find that simply turning off the radio and turning it back on usually resolves the problem, and it's a lot faster than a reboot - especially on the 7100 series.

7290 Cingular out of Houston:

Had the same problems as well over the last couple of days. It has happened twice today and similar to JerryD, I turn off the radio and turn back on. This fixes the problem for a while . . .
