Comments in Phone Number
 

I want to be able to put comments in my phone numbers but not have the BB send them. As some people have a lot of numbers, having WORK 1 and 2 and Home 1 and 2 does not give me enough information.

As an example: HOME 2: 905-123-4567 Fred Cell

Any ideas?

There is a field for cellular number as well. I guess I don't understand exactly what your wanting to do.

Thanks for the response. To answer your question..

For example, I have a contact with two cell numbers one for a guy and one for his wife. I want to be able to put some comment so I know which cell is which..
Also, for a business number, I may have several numbers so I want to put a comment for what each one is.

I think I can always put extra characters at the end of the number because when the BB phones, the phone company will ignore anything after 10 digits.

Excuse the silly question, but why wouldn't you just create an address book entry for the wife and have her cell there?

Makes sense to me. You can put up to eight different numbers for an individual in each entry. That's a lot of numbers. If you want to combine people into one entry (regardless of OS--BB, Pocket PC, Palm, whatever), you're asking the software to do something it wasn't built to do, so you're going to have to make do with its limitations.
