BB mail read but not showing as read in Outlook 2003.
My company uses a BES Redirection Server. All my configs appear to be correct. I've been searching the "technology database" for over 1/2 hour now, and this is hopefully quicker.

Nevermind.... I found this helpful little tidbit while I was waiting for SOMEone SOMEwhere to reply.

A partner of our firm just purchased a new Blackberry 7250. We are using an outsourced Exchanged provider that supports Blackberry. When he deletes messages from the Blackberry he has to delete them again on his office computer in Outlook 2003. Isn't there a way to sync the Blackberry with Outlook so he does not have to delete the same message twice? Thanks.

Open the Messages Folder.
Click the wheel and select Options
Go into E-Mail Reconciliation and change the "Delete On" to either Prompt or Mailbox and Handheld.

That should do it.

this answers why emails deleted do not synch up, but not why emails read do not synch up.

I am trying to figure out the latter

Are you the only person having this problem at you company, or does it affect everyone? There are minimum software versions needed to support reconciliation and propegation of read flags.

we are on BES 4.0 and there is one user who cannot get his read and unread emails to synch up. all the usual stuff is fine eg GPRS, receiving and sending email etc
