It looks like a little check box in a square. And ONLY appers when my phone is locked. As soon as I unlock, it goes away!!! It's in the same area where a meeting reminder would be.

If the icon goes away after you unlock it, I would try to do a hard reset on the handheld. Pull the battery out and put it back in. See if the Icon still shows up after that...

Sounds to me like a missed call or something. Go to Messages and check for any missed called that you have not openedacknowledged.

not a missed call icon. i've had my BB for over a year and have never seen it. think it's a task icon or something?

I have seen so many funky things like this before. I support a LARGE number of users, and I am the "goto person" for them. I dont think it is a bug, maybe just the memory ribbon on the handheld was not cleared and the hard reset clears the memory on the handheld.
