BIS 2.0 from Telus (maybe all of them)

Hi,
I've just finally realized after five different support people why I could not get my [email address]
Once you setup and email addy for your .blackberry.net account it is no longer available.
On the previouse webclient you could but according to the support rep he says that once you set one and decide to change it to another. You can't change it back. I wish I knew this before since apparently the username you use does not necessarily mean you use that as your [email address]

Are you talking about not being able to login to your webclient site and being able to view you BB email from there? If so, this is true. It is one of the Fantistic New Capabilities for managing email accounts from your Handheld with BIS 2.0. You can, somehow, not sure of the URL, login and add, change, or delete additional email accounts that you will be able to read your email on your handheld, and to respond to with a spoofed address from that account.

Hope This Helps.

Some call it bug, some call it feature. If you get spammed at your [email address] email address you can easily change it to [email address] or just delete it.

Really, why would you need [email address] email address? If you want free account go Yahoo. Yahoo is instant email on BIS 2.0.

I guess my primary reason is to try not to give out my work email but rather a secondary to weed out SPAM. However, with that being said I haven't quite figured which is better to somehow setup my hotmail or gmail to forward to my berry. So many options. I thought with having it use the PIN via the BIS that it would be quicker than forwarding.

You can get your old address back - if you get an error doing so call your carrier - and if they can't correct it then they can call RIM
