I just re-registered my Blackberry to my network for any new updates and a strange thing happened. On my main menu, there was a new icon of a box for e-mail options. I popped in there to see ifthere were any new settings, when I got out of it, there were 2 new mailbox envelope icons on my screen. 1 with my normal e-mail address, the other with my nextel blackberry address. I have no concern hiding these icons, but now e-mails come in to 2 separate spots in my 7520. I don't want to double my e-mails everytime one comes in. The other issue I now have is everytime I look to delete an e-mail, I get a message with 3 options, delete messages on mailbox and handheld, on handheld, and cancel. How do I remove these? Thanks in advance for any help.

sounds like you upgraded to handheld code 4.1
this is why you have seperate inboxs for each of your email acoxxxxs assocaited w/ your BIS

you can hide these icons as you mentioned. i beleive that when you read the message in one icon it's marked as read in the other (so you don't really have 2 copies - it's just the main box and then basically folders showing which email was sent to what address)

as for your delete question
go to messages -> options -> email reconciliation and change it from "prompt" to handheld - if you don't want it to delete from your normal account when you delete of the handheld - or mailbox and heldheld if you do

Thanks for the quick response. It definitely deletes on both....however, I am still getting the options when I try to delete a new message. Sigh, what did I do??

You can hide those icons and everything will still work in your regular messages icon. I don't know why they do that. It confused the hell out of me originally. Now you can choose your sent from Address when you compose an email. I had 2 extra icons because I pop from two different accounts. Now I can choose which email address to send from.

also you made sure messages -> options -> email reconciliation is set to one of the options other then prompt?

Ok, under confirm delete, it is set to no, and Delete on is set to Mailbox & Handheld. So I received an e-mail this morning, pressed delete, and that prompt came up again. Augh.....frustrating.

Under Email Reconciliation there is Delete On:. Change its value from Prompt to Handheld.

Thank you all for the replies so far, at this point, I have tried all three, prompt, handheld, and Mailbox & Handheld. I tried resetting (pulled battery) as well.....keep getting the same thing.

Interesting little development, the messages will now not delete no matter what I press to remove them.....

Did you change Delete On: once, or for each of your two email addresses separately?

The Delete on, seemed to had changed it for all of them.

This is not correct and may be cause of what you experience. When in Email Reconciliation, select Message Services and push space to switch between settings for your different email addresses. These settings are per email account.

I had this exact problem as BERducky should remember, no matter what settings I used the same happened when I tried to delete, too. I do not know what I finally did but all of a sudden it all worked as it was surposed to work. Maybe try removing the battery and holding the on button for a minute or so. Not usre what did it but it start to work as it was surposed to work.

I had the same problem one week ago (BB 7250, Bell Mobility). The only solution was to do a handheld "wipe" and then restore from a backup file, or a sync to dekstop, wipe, and resync.

It worked, but was a bit of work getting everything back the way I like it.

Greggebhardt, same thing happened this morning. Now I can delete without the prompt.....but there are 2 e-mails I can't delete......
