Default Alltel?

If I buy an unlocked BB can I somehow use it with Alltel? Our corporate phones are on this cell carrier and I would love to have one device for phone, email and palm type device.

If not would anyone suggest a cheaper BB model without the phone feature to use comparable to the 7280, the really important feature is email attatchments. I have gone to mailstreet.com on my email mostly for the wireless BES syncing service. I am in week 2 of the 30-day period from AT&T so I must soon make up my mind on the unit. Seeing how I am mostly using it as a calender and email only I thought that I would post these questions.

Thanks

It has been a real learn as you go experiance so far. The biggest problem has been the 100mb storage as I need to save emails for up to 6-months in some cases. I have learned to auto archive my in box and deleted folders to my pc hard drive and also created rules to copy messages from my inbox to archive folders, that way when I delete from my inbox on the pc or handheld it still archives to the appropriate folder instead of just to the deleted folder.

I must say that the service from the mailstreet crew is top notch, I have called many times in the last 2 weeks getting everything set up to work for me correctly and they are always easy to get ahold of.

Not sure if the same goes for BB's but I've used a phone from Bell Mobility with Alltel. Maybe if you can find an unlocked BB 6750/7750 which are used by all CDMA networks you can activate it on the Alltel network. I've also heard of Bell Mobility BB's working on the Verizon network, CDMA BB's might be easier to config for other CDMA networks unlike GSM/GPRS devices which require an unlock code or flash of some sort to except another carriers SIM.

That's who my company uses also. I called them and they said NOPE. So I have my TMO 7230 and my AllTel V60. It works...
