Issue with reconciling
I have a user that is having issues with reconciling. He can receive his mail wirelessly, but if he views/deletes the mail from her BB, it will not update in outlook.
I have verified that the device is set to sync with the handheld and mailbox. The wireless has been turned on and the handheld overwrites the mailbox upon conflict.
If I tell the device to reconcile now, it works fine. It will not sync up on it's own.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
There is a 15-20 minute delay in email reconcilation. The BlackBerry Server only scans the users mailbox every 15 to 20 minutes. Emails marked as read in outlook should reconcile to HH. If it is not working you will want to check the version of mapi on the BES and Exchange, and also check permissions on the service account for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Other things to look for:
If Outlook is running in Cached Mode, there may be significant delays. Turn off Cached mode (I think it's a farce anyway. It seems to just be Outlook running in Off Line mode with a very short Send/Receive All cycle).
Make sure the BB has the latest firmware. If it's not up to date - especially if it's running the same major version, but the last set of digits are lower, update the firmware. Minor rev's (where only the last set of digits changes) are usually bug fixes!
The Desktop[CMIME] gets flaky sometimes. I've found it to be more prevalent in Over The Air (OTA) Enterprise Activations (EA). If the user has Desktop 4.1x running (should work with 4.0 too), delete the Desktop[CMIME] Service Book (Options --> Settings --> Service Books), and plug the device up with DM running. The BB will get a new Desktop[CMIME] Service Book. If there's no DM available, a battery pull / reboot should restore it also.
email not reconciling
We do use over the air activation and I have no issues doing this for him. Everything listed has already been checked. I even turned of the cache in outlook. Any other thoughts?

I believe its about 10 minutes. However yes, real time sync does not occur with deleted/viewed/filed emails.
Ok so after 10 minutes it should update, but it is not on the BB. I actually setup a test account on 1 for me and it does pull in my email, but it will not reconcile for me either. I highly doubt that everyone is having this issue otherwise I would have heard about this a lot more. I am really not sure of the issue. It wouldn't be an exchange account issue would it?
The same thing is happening to us over here as well.
We have 2x 8700 BB's in use and 2x 7100r series devices all running off a BES/Exchange setup. Syncs to the calendar are instant -- messages composed and sent from Outlook instantly appear on the BlackBerry as well. Only read status and deletes aren't syncing in a timely manner. Selecting 'Reconcile Now' on the handheld will update everything normally as it should.
BES version is the latest with all the latest patches.
We operate on a BES with 3.7xx OS. I appear to be the only user that can keep the BB and the inbox synced. Most other users collect up to 500 e-mails on the BB over time when there is only about 60 in their inbox. Nothing works - wireless sync, hard sync, filing into PST - nothing. I have escalated this to our BES guys and they dunno what this is. Just an FYI
We have th 10-15min wait and i have also noticed if the user does not have outlook open or there screen is locked it dosn't do it. We tell them to unlock hit recon now and live with it. users whine to much.
