Question mynumber AutoText

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to edit the 'mynumber' AutoText entry so that it displays the phone number as 555-555-1234 instead of 15555551234?

I edited it so I just have to type 'mynum', but it would be nice if it was formatted to make it more readable.

No. but...
Create a new autotext entry "myn" and associate the formatted number with that, i.e. type it in the way you want it to look. It's faster to enter than "mynumber" and will give you exactly what you want.

I use Zx for an 8 line auto text signature. You can do alot with auto text.

^^^ ditto ^^^

I actually use 3 to 4 autosigs with various info in each. I've disabled the autosignature in the DM and BIS, and just use Autotext. It also allows me to use NO signature, so people can't tell that I'm that accessible unless I want them to.

It's a great way to send a "business card", too. While you're talking to someone, grab their e-mail really quick, and hit an autosig that has all your contact info, and voila.

I rarely even carry business cards anymore.

I do the same. Autotext for personal signature, business signature and full signature. Which of course allows for no signature too. Turned the autosig feature in BIS off.
