Default Phonebook Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to the Blackberry so please be easy on me.
I just went from a Treo650 to the 7130e. My question is can I put my contacts in via the PC and then sync them to the BB? I know they cannot come from the Treo... can they. I will take the time to put them in the BB if I have to but I heve over 100 contacts. Can anyone shed some light on this newbie??

P.S. Yes I searched the forum to no avail.

It's under the Intellisync option, under configuration.

Unhappy Is there another way?

I'm a newbie as well so thank you in advance for the help.

Here's my current situation:
The 8700G is my personal phone - I have all of my personal contacts integrated with my work contacts (there are thousands of work contacts) within outlook. My company does not have a blackberry enterprise license and does not support blackberries :(

Here's my question: Is there an easy/free contact application that I can type in my contacts on a PC and have it sync with my blackberry?

Can't you type them into Outlook and then sync it using Intellisync and Desktop Manager. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure how to differentiate the work contacts and my personal contacts within Outlook except to look at each contact (since there are 1000s inside my contact list that would make things difficult). Unless someone can tell me how to "tag" the appropriate items within Outlook - I have a conplex setup currently with multiple contact profiles within outlook so I would need to be able to tag/group the appropriate contacts and then specify the profile of the contacts that I need to download to my bb.

I think it would be easier to manage the contacts seperately outside of Outlook - But someone can tell me if I am wrong.

You can use Time & Chaos, use ChaosSync for Outlook as a DB bypass and sync to your BB device.

You can get Palm to sync to Outlook!

Use Outlook then to update your 7130e.

You might have to use your Palm CD to elect the funtion to use Outlook, but I have done it and it works pefectly.

Capura pocket mirror is on most palm cds, and it allows palm sync with Outlook, then Intellisync is built into bb desktop manager, which allows bb sync to outlook. This way you could keep both always in sync. But when you setup intellisync remember to change the field mappings in the advanced bit otherwise some data will never be passed accross to your Bb.
