How come next to my email inbox it sometimes says my e-mail address with a negative number next to it? Example myemailaddress@gmail.com (-2)

Yea, I see that on all 5 of my accounts also.. different numbers...No idea what they mean

It's a bug. When you have unread emails, that number is meant to indicate how many. Somehow it goes negative and the only solution that I have found is a battery pull.
The practical solution is to hide those mailboxes for the individual accounts and just use the main Messages inbox. That unread message counter is reliable. You can choose which account to send on by scrolling through your accounts with the spacebar on the "Send Using" field.

Yeah thats what I have been doing, the pull out method. Just wanted to make sure it was not something I was doing. Thanks for confirming.
