Default Lotus Notes reconcile problems

Hi All

I hope someone can help me. I have a problematic user who can never paint a true picture of their Lotus Notes Inbox on their Blackberry Handheld.

The problems are:
1. Some emails that are in the users Lotus Notes Inbox never appear on the handheld.
2. Some deletions from the Lotus Notes Client/Mail Inbox never reconcile to the BB device (Not all messages, this seems random) I also checked that deletions from the Lotus Notes client are still in the trash folder of the users mail file.

We have tried everything we can think of to fix the problem such as upgrading the BES server 4.0.4.6, changed BB device (7290) 3 times and finally to a 8700g device for the same user. Same results no matter the device.

We have ran Fixup/Updall and Compact on the users mail file and state database.

We deleted the user from the BES server and created him again on another BES server in the group.

We changed the options on the BB device to hide filed messages and to delete from both Mailbox & BB Handheld.

But still I have this problem. I am not getting very far with the service provider and the problem has gone on for 2 months now. I am very desperate to have the problem solved soon, can any one help?

Technical info: BES = V4.0.4.6
BES Domino Server = 6.5.3
Main Domino Server = 6.5.3
Lotus Notes Client = 6.5.3
BB Handheld = 7290 or 8700g

A. Did you delete the State Database for that user?

B. Clear out the Service books and re-provision him / does it upon creation

C. Test this out by reading or Deleting an email from the BlackBerry and use the wheel to hit "Reconcile Now"

D. Inbox-Options-Email Reconciliation--Mailbox wins and Delete on: Prompt

**Also, I have seen some problems brought about by the 6.5.X server in doing reconciliation at a 100%. I am now on 7.01 and feeling much better.

Planning on upgrading?

Default Problems continued

Hi There

Thanks for the advice, but sadly I still have the same issue with this one user. I never deleted the state database, only removed the user from the BES using the delete user option in the Blackberry Manager server software. I have also deleted the user and recreated him on anther BES server on the network but have the same issue where he deletes emails from his Lotus Notes client and some messages remain in the inbox view of the Blackberry. It does not matter how many times I reconcile it never goes.

Do you think Notes Release 7 is the answer?

Hi mate,

Just a thought, have you tried deleting the local Cache.ndk of the notes client.
Sounds like the issue is related to the notes client/mail file.

could also try updating the design template of the mail file.
