Default Attachment extensions

Please Login to Remove!

I though it'd be a nice thread to have. Post your experiences with attachments, which ones you can view in particular, along with what program that extension belongs to. Also post your software version.

So far I've been able to view the following extensions without third-party software:

doc (standard office document), without a table (tables I can't view imbedded in a doc)

xls Not sure what else uses this, but I created a spreadsheet in OpenOffice in xls format and can view it fine.

txt standard text document

That's all I've actually tested thus far, and all I've been able to view. I use OS4

Myself the only items I've had to view thus far with little issue are the following:

.doc - Office documents
.xls - Spreadsheet MS or OpenOffice
.txt - Generic text file
.pdf - Portable Digital File.
