Unhappy error Blockerase 6

Please Login to Remove!

my 7130e is giving an error that says "BlockErase 6" what is the fix for that? I have tried to do a kill pill and wipe from the BES and it does nothing, soft reset does nothing. Any thoughts?

Haven't heard of that one before. I didn't see anything on the BlackBerry Knowledge Center either. I would try removing the battery first. If that doesn't do it, use JavaLoader to wipe the handheld software and reload it..

If JavaLoader doesn't recognise it, you got big troubles. Call Verizon and get a warrantry exchange.

After a very long two hours of talking to reps on the phone who really didn't know what they were talking about we just ended up switching the device out.

I just got this error message as well. The Verizon guy I talked to didn't know how to fix either. They just sent me a replacement instead. Has anyone had any luck in fixing this issue?

Default Cingular 7130c, same error, same results

I have a 7130c with Cingular. Had the"'BlockErase 6" "Reset" error message on it and it was recognized by the pc just fine. As soon as I ran apploader and it started the os reload process, it turned the device into a brick. It was stuck on erasing applications for a few minutes, then flagged an error in apploader. The device then was no longer able to be recognized by the pc and was stuck on the led blinking red twice, then pausing, and repeating. Took the battery out for a while and popped it back in, no change.

Called RIM TSupport and without the pc recognizing the device, none of the tools including javaloader can work. The support rep has seen a similar error once before with a 7290 and couldn't troubleshoot that time because of the same reason it couldn't be recognized by the pc. RMA was the resolution.

RIM then transferred me to Cingular warranty exchange and let them know it was defective to the RMA process started. Too bad the cause couldn't be found.

Default try this

i had the same problem twice and the second time around i realized that it works after the battery was dead for a while, so i tried just taking the battery out for ten or fifteen minutes and then replaced it. it then somehow magically started working again. sorry i don't have a better explanation right now, but see if that works for you.

One of my users also had this error on their BB. We tried removing the battery for 15 mins and replacing it, but it didno't work. I guess you were just lucky

Spoke to RIM who said it was a hardware fault and we should get vodafone to replace it under warranty.
