Question Wierd stuff with software

Please Login to Remove!

Hello- I am new here and have been reading since before I got my tmobile blackberry 7105t. I have had it about a week and I am ready to throw it through a window. While I do love it for the most part I am having some software issues (so says tmobile tech support). First thing is that when you go to tools and then settings you see "no messages". My "settings are actually located under "password storage". Second, like I have been reading today, I am having email issues as well- I can get email (most of them) but I cannot reply. tmobile says its RIM and they don't have a fix time as yet from the RIM folks. Anyway- any ideas on what the glitch here is? They are sending out a "new or like new" handset. I can tell you that it BETTER be new because the one I have is only a week old!
Thanks for listening- I look forward to learning from all of you.

Sounds like you desparately need to reload your firmware.

First, download and install the Blackberry Desktop Manager from:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
If you're not of how to set it up, select Internet.

Second, download and install the latest firmware for your BB from:
http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade/?A2L.SERVICE=SystemUpgrade
You will need to provide your BB Phone number to get to the download.

If you need to, run the Backup program before proceeding, or if you run the App Manager through Desktop Manager it should ask automatically if you want to backup and restore.

Now run the Desktop Manager, or if you're unsure of your setup you can simply run the Application Loader - "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe", however the latest version of the App Loader in Desktop Manager claims it will back up apps installed wirelessly so it would be better to use (I don't know if that comes up if you run App Loader stand alone).

If for whatever reason it doesn't automatically update your firmware, force it.
