Hi,

Anyone know how to edit and/or remove the default browser bookmarks on the T-Mobile 8700g? it's really annoying having these bookmarks that I do not use on top of all my own often used ones.

T-Mobile UK devices, on their web'n'walk service at least, have a service book pushed to them that contains these bookmarks in a "Favourites" bookmark section. Annoying, isn't it? I put my own bookmarks in the 'BlackBerry Bookmarks' section.

If you delete the service book, all is better - until the service book automatically gets reinstated. It can take a few days though

I've no ill effects so far of deleteing the service book called

WAP2 Browser Config [BrowserConfig]

but as I say, it comes back eventually....

I'm on T-Mobile in the US. They seem to be doing the same thing. It's not right since I'm paying for the Internet service. They should not be pushing content and not allow the user to control it. It limits the usability of the browser. And not only is it pushed, it's always on top of everything else. Very annoying!

I will try to delete that service book and call T-Mobile support and compain when it shows up again!

Thank you for the tip.

I'd be surprised if they can do anything about it. I don't think an operator can stop a device getting service book when all the other devices on the same setup are already configured to do so.
