Default new browser for nextel users

Please Login to Remove!

BIBS (BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service , formerly PMDS and ICS) is a new add-on service to be offered by carriers which allows HTTP browsing on BlackBerry handhelds running the 3.7 or greater codeline. This service is marketed toward BlackBerry Web Client users without BlackBerry Enterprise Server connectively.

BIBS will replace Nextels Wap service and will continue to be part of the nextel blackberry plan. All other carriers will adopt this service as as add-on fee based service to subscribers wishing to have a more content rich experience. The new included browser will support all the latest coding methods.thanks to jcid on rimroad.

Sorry to disappoint, but this was related to us through SNC.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 9/1/04 RIM mistakenly sent a notice to all BlackBerry customers, including Nextel customers, about a new service called Internet Browser Services (BIBS). Currently Nextel does not offer this service, and has made no decision about when we will offer it. Be aware of this mistake on RIM's part in the event you get questions about it from your BlackBerry customers.
