Does this mean that the carriers will be offering hosted BES?

yes.. in a sense i would say so. i'm guessing this isn't a replacement for the personal user that is using exchangemymail.com or something... i'd say this is a solution for small business that don't want to host and manage an in-house exchange/BES setup. so you park your MX record for your domain with them and they host your mail and BES accounts. i could be way off base though... just a guess.

We are a local business partner with Vodacom South Africa - Vodafone Controlled, we have started to add Hosted BES to our Hosted exchange platform for small businesses, as the inital cost to implement a BES server for a SME is way to expensive.

This will be hosted on the Carrier's network and therefore allow direct access via the Blackberry Handset to the BES server.

Are services like yours complementary to the individual BES hosting offered by companies like ExchangeMyMail and MailStreet, as byron suggests, or are they in effect the same service with a different audience?
