I went from a 7230 to my 8700g. I did a selective backup from one device and restored my contacts, bookmarks, etc. to the new one using the desktop software.

A search of the term "copy SIM" yielded this:
Copy SIM phonebook to Phone phonebook

Hope that helps

You can save numbers but not addresses to the SIM.
Go to Address Book, go to the contact that you want to save.
Click the wheel and select view.. scroll to the phone number, click the wheel, copy to SIM should appear.

True..SIMs only have the capacity to save Names and Numbers. Nothing else
