Default yahoo and gmail help..i don't understand the other posts out there

Please Login to Remove!’s the situation. I’m new to BB and I just got a 7290—tmobile and very basic plan…not for work use..not the BES..just the most basic data only plan I can get

I want to see my gmails and yahoo emails (yes I have yahoo mail plus) at my 7290. I know I can forward and I know how that works…what other options do I have!!

Before you answer, I’ve seen other postings, but not knowing anything about BB or too much about computers, I really don’t know what BIS 2.0 means or stuff like that..i don’t know even knowwhat I have..

someone had a long post about how to do the gmail set up..using filters, etc....i know how gmail filters work but the first step (going to tmobile website and putting in the gmail address, etc.) wasn’t working for me. Can anyone help?

’d love to view yahoo mail on the BB just like how people who have work BB’s do..can delete from the BB and it deletes from inbox..

Let me know if all of this is possible..

Why don't you just create an account at Tmobiles BIS site and then have your accounts forward to that address. I have filtering info for gmail at my tips site. Not sure how you enter Yahoo but if you enter it on BIS you will get real time push plus the ability to reply from that address.

1) don't forward your Yahoo! address - if you do you won't have a copy left in your Yahoo! account as Yahoo! forwards the message itself; not a copy

2) You have T-Mobile - so sign into the T-Mobile site; select "set up internet email" (under communication tools); enter in your Yahoo! email address and password; in about 20 mins you'll start getting new emails from your Yahoo! account to your handheld in real time (no 15 min delay)

3) create a T-Mobile BlackBerry address from the same site; choose to edit this address and change your "reply to" to Gmail; go to Gmail and enable forwarding; drop in your T-Mobile (BIS) address; click save; you'll start getting any new emails from your Gmail to your handheld instantly

4) Worry about filters after you have this set up - you may not need to do any (depends on the amount of SPAM you get and wether or not you want to get all your email to your handheld)

hope this helps

Stupid question, but do you have the Blackberry data add-on plan ($19.99) or are you trying to access your e-mail with the T-zones plan ($5.99)?
