Default trying this out ..BB MESSENGER...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys and gals.

I got myself a 7130 and a 8700
use the 7130 nites and weekends....the 8700 is too big!

I already have the emails going well..same account with 2 phones...ones on BIS 2.0 and the other on BES....

My biggest question is :

Is there a way to have the same bb messenger list on both phones without the other user having 2 contacts under my name...

No, because each BB has it's own PIN number

that's right. I was sim card swapping between my 8700 and a 7100 for a while and the BB messenger issue was a real pain in the...........rear end. My bb meesenger contacts couldn't grasp the "two contacts in their phone for me" concept.

It shouldn't be too hard for them to understand, especially if you differentiate between the two with modified usernames and going unavailable on the SIMless BB before switching. I have a contact that does that and there is no problem

hope this helps

As I said, they need to go unavailable on the one they're not using at the time. That way only the active one will be in the active contacts list.

The different pins are needed to send to the correct BB. I use that with two units and my contacts show my contact with a 1 or 2 added to show which is active. the only problem i have is when the cell tower does not drop the connection or show one off line. In any event it works 99% of the time well
