Thumbs down Email Outage - T-Mobile, Hosted Mailboxes

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
There appears to be a problem with a "small number of hosted mailboxes" on RIM server. I've just got off the phone with T-Mobile (US) and RIM and was told that RIM is working on the problem with no ETA.
I'm currently roaming in UK, but it's not related as far as I know.
The problem started on Saturday, fixed itself late Saturday (GMT), and then started again on Sunday and continues until now (Monday evening).
I have 2 email accounts configured on BIS. 99% of my email are going through account 1, which queue got stuck on the RIM server according to RIM . The service book for this account can't be re-downloaded after I deleted it following tech's request. The second account works fine - service book comes through.
I'm able to send emals from both accounts, PIN messaging works, Internet browsing works as well.

If you are having similar symptomps - please leave a comment. There was an earlier thread titled National Outage.. It's probably related, however it just affects small amount of users on BIS. Not sure if other providers are affected or just T-Mobile.
Despite paying $30 for the regular plan and $20 for roaming access, I was able to get just $5 credit..:(

I've had this problem on and off since June 12th. RIM still has my case active with Verizon. Since last week (Thursday), after they did some additional troubleshooting, all emails have arrived within the normal time frame.

There's a thread here that discusses the problems.

I'm having delays, but if I disable the wireless and re-enable it, I get all the emails I missed. I'm on T-Mo.

You may be having delays in your area. Approximately a week ago, a lot of people along the eastern coast were having email problems, some of which was due to the fact of those heavy rainstorms we encountered and some due to the problem RIM is having with its BIS 2.0.

I'd suggest getting on the phone with T-mo and having them send you to a bb tech. Before that, you can try resending your service books or doing a hard reset and see what happens.

Default Problem solved

Hey,
I've spend another hour on the phone, this time with the RIM tech. He deleted my @tmo.blackberry.com account and then re-created it. After that, it all started to work. He confirmed that they had a "big crash" on Saturday and my account didn't recover properly.
In any case, they could have solved it yesterday, but the tmobile tech was clueless even after talking to RIM.
Oh well.. All good now..
