Default Notify Link Replacement?

Please Login to Remove!

New to the forums. I did a search but came back with nothing. I am looking for a replacement to Notify Link. We used to have 50 licenses, but at this time have only 3. We are just looking for a cost effective sollution to get email from Groupwise and the cellphone provider email service and keep them seperate on our Blackberry's. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Setup POP access on your GroupWise mail server and integrate the email accounts using the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS).

How To - Configure GroupWise to work with BlackBerry Internet Service

If you want faster email delivery (BIS polls every 15 minutes), create a BlackBerry address with your BIS account and setup a forwarding rule on the GroupWise server to the BlackBerry address.

If we do this it will all come into the same folder correct? It is important that we are able to keep the emails from the accounts seperate as some of these accounts have thousands of emails coming in daily and we dont want them to miss their important emails. Thanks.

What do you mean same folder? Each BB user will have their own BIS account and they can integrate their GroupWise email account using the POP access/forwarding. Messages sent to that email account only go to that user's BB since they are the only one that have it setup on their BIS account.

If you referring to the POP access, each user gets their own POP account so emails sent to their account only go to their POP account.

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant to state was that I would like each account to have a different icon on the BB home screen. Currently, under messages, both accounts will show up there and then you have to filter them every time to filter out one account. We are currently using Groupwise and Notify Link independently of each other to achieve the desired effect of having seperate icons on the home screen, but were looking for a cost effective alternative to this.

It is possible to have an separate icon for each email account you setup with BIS. However, you need to be on BIS 2.0 and the handheld software has to be at least 4.1. You will have the messages icon which has everything and then another messages icon for each email account that is setup which only shows the emails coming from that account.

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks for all your help so far. Just to make sure we are on the same page, it is possible to have:
- A messages icon which would house both the Groupwise and BIS emails. This icon I would hide.
- A seperate icon for just Groupwise emails.
- A seperate icon for just BIS emails.

- The messages icon houses all emails to all accounts. It is not possible to hide this icon.
- BIS is a service (BlackBerry Internet Service) and not an email account. You can setup up to 10 email accounts with BIS and you can also get a BlackBerry address (eg. [email address])
- For each email account you setup with BIS (including the BlackBerry address), an additional icon will be placed on your BB which houses all emails from that account

So in your case, if you integrated the GroupWise account, you would have the messages icon and another one for the GroupWise account.

For more info on BIS, check out this link.

Using Notify Link, we are able to create another folder on the BB in addition to the messages folder. All incoming BIS emails enter only into the Notify Link folder and not the messages folder once set up. Only our Groupwise emails show up in the messages folder. What I am wondering is is there a way to do this without using the Notify Link software in addition to Groupwise such as any other software sollutions. My guess is No, but maybe somebody out there has found something.
