Okay - I finally said yes to new BIS v2 after being bothered for too long by my provider (Optus - Australia)

Now what does this offer? I lost my ability to view my specific blackberry account emails on a machine now - and have to forward them elsewhere (Unless I'm missing something?)

And I can use a hotmail account and stuff.. but it doesn't download existing emails - fair enough.

What have I gained from BIS v2?

Well here's a thread that will give you some idea of what is going on. BIS 2.0 allows for multiple accounts, each with its own unique From address, BCC address and filters. There are positives and negatives. For someone like me the positives outweigh the negatives 10 to 1, but it is diffferent for others depending on what you want.

Question though - why is it asking me if I want to delete my mail thats on the Blackberry account from the handheld or mailbox and handheld? Is there another way I can access this account with a computer or something?

If you go into Messages, Option, Email reconciliation you can choose whether or not it prompts for each account. For your Blackberry.net account, set it to always Delete on Mailbox and Handheld since there is no accessible mailbox to save it in. But for Yahoo and POP3 account integration this feature is very useful. I have it set to prompt (i.e. what you are seeing). Delete on Handheld will leave the message in Yahoo or your POP3 account. Delete on Mailbox and Handheld will also delete it from that account. (For POP3 accounts, that assumes that you have not yet downloaded the email into Outlook.)
