Lost BB -- Cingular tower info

One of our users just lost a brand new 8700c -- it's not a huge deal because it was locked and on BES so no data's lost, but they want to try to find it. They're retracing their steps, and the phone is on the network...

I called Cingular and they said they see the phone, but only could provide the tower ID -- not address, cross street, town, or general area where the tower is located.

Is there perhaps anyone from Cingular here who may be able to look up the two numbers I was given and give me a better idea than just "NY Metro area?"

Thanks. I know it's a bit of an oddball request, but I figured it was worth a shot.

What are the tower numbers?

I need to know what City the Metro area is in as well. Keep in mind that I am from NC, so I can give you a street name that is closest to the tower. It would be in a 3-5 mile range if not closer than that.

I always thought this Gecko guy was one of the good ones.

Well, a good neighbor found the lost BB and brought it over a little while ago. So all has turned out well, but it still is a little perplexing that Cingular won't tell you in non-Cingular engineer terms the general vicinity where a phone is located.
