Sms Help
 

ok , so i called Cingular and got my unlock emailed with 48 hours ... i unlocked my BB8700c .... then all of a sudden cannot send/recieve SMS text messages !! i have been on the phone with CNGULAR all day and they are no help at all . my wife and i text all day and this sucks .... any ideas ?

God if that happened to me I'd flip out. The only advice i can offer you is a re-boot. I am no where near an expert with blackberries so if that doesn't work I'm clean outta ideas.

I cant seem to get sms message through either.(n) Cant send or recieve.
Everything else seems to work ok.

thankx for the help anyway .... i guess i should delete this thread ...wait a min .... can i even do that ...lol . but seriously i finally did some Rep. shopping with Cingular and got a CS rep. that tried something new ... he changed the service center phone number in the SMS menu and ...wam ! that did it !!!!!! i can now TEXT again ....

yay! dont bother to delete it someone may find it later on and figure out what they need to do.

Mayve thats what mine needs, an updated number.

That is a new one for me never heard of that problem. Can I ask you why you choose to use the text messages instead of just sending it through teleflip so you don't have to have a text package.

I would rather text so I can recieve an answer back. Right now I cant get any inbound texts.

oh alright,I see i take it that your wife doesn't have the option to return. I am confused actually i send email text messages to people who don't have a data plan and they are able to reply to me...

I have a 10.00$ a month 1000 SMS plan on cingular. It is alot easier than teleflip 'cus its right there and alot quiker than teleflip. I like SMS for quik hellos and questions alot.

I got it fixed, cingular had a setting wrong in the acct. Works good now.

I dont use it that much so I just pay as I go.

Oh ok cool! Geeze I did that pay as you go texts, but it's 0.10 for every text sent or recived! So I would get messages that said something like, "Hi, Call me 2night" over and over and over. And it became about 100 dollors a month with the occasional response. So I invest in 10.00$ a month for 1000.
