Of course, I am not an any BES plan, just standard T-Mobile data plan. If I use the services that were pre-installed, does this cost me extra, or is it all part of the "data" portion of my plan? Also, I pay the extra money to have unlimited texting on my plan (for the kids and non-BB friends).
I just want to know if this is going to cost me extra to use ANY of them.
I don't think I'm going to say it any better than the way it has been said on this thread already, but the app you describe which came native on your 7105t sends and receives as text message (SMS). If you haven't bought a SMS plan, you'll be paying something ($0.05?) for each one you send, and the same again when you receive. [update:
I should have wrote "probably sends and receives as text message"... this is the way it was on 7100t I had until a few months back. I assume it is still the same.]
The Yahoo Messenger app that you download from RIM uses data. If you are on unlimited data plan, you will not be charged; if not, data used will count against your limit.
Hope I didn't confuse things further.
