Default ? about Blackberry

I'm wondering if the BB uses an OS and if so is it Palm? I can't decide between the BB or the Treo and I have a Tungsten E now with my Nursing programs on it. I'm wanting to buy whichever one will allow me to transfer the Nsg. programs to it. Thanks for your help.

Sandy

BB uses its own OS. It is not compatible with Palm or Windows Mobile. The program you run on Palm will not be compatible with Treo either. You would need a version specific to that OS.

Id say contact the people who made your nursing program and see if they have a blackberry version of it....as I dont think that the treo version will be compatible at all with a blackberry.

If they dont, you can try searching the after market software forum in this forum and see if you can find/ask about any nursing programs that are compatible.

All Treos except the 700w use the Palm OS. If you switch to a Treo, then you would want to know if your software is compatable with the version of Palm on the Treo. Your nursing program may be compatabile since it runs on the Tunsten, or it may not if the program runs on different version of the Palm OS, as said above check with the people who sold the program. The 700w is Windows Mobile 5 OS. As mentioned above BB runs on its own OS and you would need a program that runs on the BB.
