Default Speed of Push Email on BES

Please Login to Remove!

How long should it take for emails to get pushed from my company's BES?

With my 7290, the emails seemed to show up on the device at the same time (or even before) they showed up in my Lotus Notes inbox. On my 7130c, the emails don't show up on my device for 5-10 minutes after they arrive in my inbox.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up?

Are the 2 devices integrated on this same BES? If yes, then that will be a common base for comparision... If this is the basis, the following factors may deviate the messaging delivery time:

(1) mail db of mail server integarted with 7290 has a relatively faster connection to BES
(2) mail db of mail server integarted with 7130 has a relatively slower connection to BES
(3) mail db of mail server integarted with 7290 has a relatively smaller db size
(4) mail db of mail server integarted with 7130 has a relatively larger db size
(5) mail db of mail server integarted with 7290 has a relatively lesser folders to scan and redirect
(6) mail db of mail server integarted with 7130 has a relatively more folders to scan and redirect
... and list can go on and on... network? mail server outages?... etc.

In reality you cannot compare specifically in terms of time... email messages arrived - better than never arrived...

It's the same account on the same BES, with the same size databases. The only thing that's changed is the device.

Strange, your BES allows you to add duplicate user profiles in the first place? How did you do that?...
