Hi -- I'm trying to create an emergency contact group in my Personal Address Book in Lotus Notes that will show up on my handheld -- but it ain't happening.

Any thoughts?

Do you have other groups that have synched to your handheld? I have never been able to have any groups sync from my PAB to my handheld, but I can create groups in my handheld.

Groups that you create in your LN client do not transfer to your BB. You have to create new groups on your BB...

Someone logically explain that one! When I first got a BB and posted this question, somone wondered if it was related to ACL permissions, but I have never been able to figure it out.

Well... You can automate your address book synching with your BB using the replicator engine, but I don't know about automating PAB group sync....

Created groups on the handheld, then migrated from BES 2.2.6a to 4.0 and lost the groups. How to prevent this?

Only documents created using the "Persons" form is sync to Blackberry. You got to create a group from the Blackberry itself, however it will not be sync to your address book database in Lotus Notes. Kinda of silly, I can only imagined that the RIM programmers did not understand completely how Lotus Notes addresses are maintained when they were coding?! ... Such things do happen though...
