I was wondering if I can turn off email while im in the office. Is it possible?

Upgrade to Telstra OS and it will provide the option turn data off. The emails will all download to your Blackberry when you turn data back on.

(If you are on BES, there are further options available for your work email. Not really my area.)

I don't know what model you have but the 7100i has a "Phone Only" option.

you can have email disabled while it's in the cradle in desktop manager - redirector settings

switch to BIS... that should prevent you from getting email to the device. lol.

sorry, i just had to say that.... haha.
