Long delays with send receive. It is taking anywhere from 20min to 2 hours to send/receive e-mails. Push or otherwise. I called cingular they tried removing me from the network and re adding me...as soon as they did that, all my unreceived/unsent e-mails were delivered. But the problem persisted with all new e-mails. The rep said that the problem is with rim and to just wait it out till tomorrow, and then just call back. Anyone else experiencing the same problems? |
call them back and make them open a ticket with RIM for you. its been happening to me since thursday... starting to get very annoying. |

Have your carrier get you to RIM support. My delays have been happening since June 12 and my ticket remains open with RIM. There are a few threads in here mentioning the problem. It appears to be BIS 2.0 related. The more people who complain to RIM, the sooner we get this fixed! |
yup, me too. It began with 2.0...quite annoying. Cingular told me RIM is having problems.... |

Same thing with Rogers in the Toronto area. No BIS. Update : Seems okay now. Tested with an Outlook message. And I just received an email I have been waiting for since 2:30 pm from Victoria BC. But Rogers is playing games/ gasp! I called the customer relations people and got the recorded message that they were experiencing difficulty and could not access account infor. The clueless lady who finally answered said there has been no delay and finally switched me over to the Data folks. Answer: There has been a problem, no details, now rectified. |
We were having the same problem with our 8900's with Cingular. Went into the BIS setup and deleted the @mycingular.blackberry.com email account and then re-set it up. Seems to have soleved the problem. Cingular support stated that there were errors and asked me to delete the email account. At that point, we were disconnected so I never gout the actual error that he was seeing. I did not feel like calling back and waiting 15 minutes again. Works now. Tomorrow may be a differant story. |
Agreed. Very frustrating indeed! I have been on a T-Mobile 8700g since 7/3 and have had these problems since signing up. Never had a single issue with a 7130e on VZW. I don't know that it's apples to apples since at the time I had the 7130e (January through April) I was on BIS 1.8. Don't know if VZW is on 1.8 or 2.0 now... My delays are longest (hours sometimes) during east coast business hours. Things are better after hours and on weekends. See: http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=41285 http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=40973 http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=40114 You are not alone. Not that it helps much to ease the frustration! I've been back and forth on canceling the $20/month BB plan until they get this mess straightened out, but truth be told, I love my BB too much to be without it!! |

Well, tomorrow is here and the problem continues. I spent two hours in our Cingular store today working with support. We finally got sent to Rim and they acknoledged a problem. They are saying that on Monday, two new email servers were installed(or updated) and they are having issues with them. Sounds good but some people here say this is a problem that has been around for a few weeks. I have a ticket opened with Rim for what that's worth. I was told to turn my BB off and back on once a day until the problem is resolved. |
It does not look like BB service is what it used to be. For years I have had flawless service intil the last few months. Not I will get 5 messages at a time sent over the last few hours. |
Not sure if it's RIM or our BES, but we are suddenly having delays of several minutes. I called Sprint/Nextel and they said there are not network issues in our area (Michigan), but there are issues in Pennsylvania right now. |
